New kiln for large scale production

Large scale works in the rolling mill in Sirone, where Rodacciai has just opened the new kiln for the heat treatment of coils and bars on globular annealing, isothermal and workability.

This is a controlled atmosphere gas kiln which functions with nitrogen: the total absence of oxygen eliminates the risk of oxidation and decarburization, allowing the company to place a product of ever higher quality on the market .

The kiln for loads of 20 tons allows for an increase in productivity especially on long cycles such as those for which it is intended, allowing Rodacciai to deal with higher yields and thus always more ready to respond to its customers worldwide.

Additionally and no less importantly, it is thanks to this investment that Rodacciai has been able to include the 100Cr6 in its already wide range of steels, a steel for the production of bearings, an area in which the group wants to decisively increase its presence.
